Last triathlon for the year, Hot racing this morning at the QTS Raby Bay race. But lots of fun with a heap of scta club having a race.
A good hit out in a summer of racing at the home races.
Finished with a good run off the bike in pb time. 😊

Thank you to my whole support crew; family, friends, teammates…. And especially @tobycoote , @chris.george.84 and the @sunshinecoasttriathlonacademy . Thank you for everything. For getting around each other, and lifting each other up.
It is such an honour to know that I am only the second para athlete to ever win this award.

Also I would like to recognise all the hard work behind the scenes, I would have never got to this point if if hadn’t of been all the hard work from everyone, whether it be getting up at a ridiculous time or having to play competitive spotto or even just having to explain a instruction to me at least 5 times. In my eyes everyone who helped me get to where I am today are winners! - being the fastest sometimes isn’t enough.
- anything really can and does happen in racing.
- sometimes it’s just not going to be fair.
- support of family and friends is the most important thing.

So cool that my superstar cousin, @rhettbakr who has come second in Australia for the 17 years cross country and who was awarded with Next Gen athlete… celebrating with the Olympian’s and Paralympian’s yesterday. An honour having my cousin presenting the Olympians and Paralympian with their gifts.

This morning I was honoured to receive the Queensland awards for female para triathlete of the year and most inspiring performance of 2023/2024 season, it was great to enjoy breakfast with my tri community and extra special to have my coach @tobycoote as the MC for the event. Thanks to everyone who makes things like these happen.
